Ole, nice whitetails!
Ed, I might possibly recognize the brace post and skyline in the first pic.
South Valley county(MT)?
Maybe Garfield...

One above is my token plastic stocked meat mangler. This one is used when I want to pick up chicks. Don Allen, pre-Dakota, 2 digit serial #, for a 7x57.

A few from recent outings! ya! GWB Sako Bavarian Carbine, 30-06 Springfield Love those Bavarians, Gdub! A LGS has one in .260 and 243 plus a couple of standards and a Classic (?) in 9.3x62. Everyone of them has beautiful wood. Sure wish Ruger would use Sako's source for the No.1s...

Got this this summer and love it. Took it deer hunting this year with 270 grainers. Love the open sight setup and don't plan on scoping it anytime soon. If I do eventually scope it, it'll be a Leupy 2.5 FX. Buddy's is on the left-both .375's...

Ping pong balls for the win. Once you've wrestled everything else in life is easy. Dan Gable I keep my circle small, I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.

I'm happy to play! 2016, Hondo Texas this year. Remington M7MS, .257 Roberts. Nice busted 10 point. I spent all of 2 seconds evaluating him before I went for the rifle.

Great working rifles even if too utilitarian for the walnut crowd. Left to right: .338WM semi-custom built from Ruger parts .300WM .30-06 (came in Ruger's laminate stock, now sports a Burris 3-9x BP like the others)
Coyote Hunter - NRA Patriot Life, NRA Whittington Center Life, GOA, DAD - and I VOTE!
No, I'm not a Ruger bigot - just an unabashed fan of their revolvers, M77's and #1's.
A good .30-06 is a 99% solution.

Here's the rifle that has been my favorite since I acquired it used but in virtually factory new condition in January of 2004 - a Ruger M77 in .257 Roberts. Two of my daughters have taken their first game animals with it, including Daughter #3 last year:

My next 'build' is gonna be to grab a Guide gun in 30/06, send it to JES to be reamed out to 9.3 and drop it in another skelly I have waiting. Make me a little brother to the Alaskan! Nice rifle and goat for your girl there. Bet it was tasty hanging out in that field!
