True. But given Nosler's propensity for bringing us new chamberings, it only stands to reason the the 24 and 25 Nosler are waiting in the wings.

22-204 would be a good a guess as any.

Makes me think about Steve timm saying a 223 AI clone was almost released some years ago, with a major bullet manufacturer doing the load work up and pressure testing, but the rifle manufacturer got cold feet.

Hope SSA/Nosler improves the quality of the 6.8 brass if so. There are various .22 and 6mm wildcats on the 6.8 case and they are good cartridges, but my experience (and others) with their brass has been sub-optimal from a QC and durability standpoint.

my fave walk-around round ( plus the 6-204 for legal deer )

Needs to fit within the magazine constraints of their chosen platform though. Gets 223 AI velocity w/o the excessive pressure.

Given Noslers LR focus with the 26,28,30, & 33; I would think that a .22 Creed or .22-243 might have the velocity to drive 75 grain + at reasonable pressures.

If they legitimized the .22-204 they'd score points with me, but I'm guessing it'll look something like a .22-243, with a 30 degree shoulder.

Where is this latest Speculation Arising From ? Hints from Nosler ?

.22-243 30, .22-Creed, .22-250 Improved are all very similar in capacity and capability.

It's more about OAL, Twist, and throating in a 2.8" magazine, than exact details of the chambering. I like a longer neck for target shooting volumes.

For my purposes, the .22-204, or even the .20 practical is more suitable than the larger cases.
