Same to you Rooster.
We started the new year out on the ice, fishing through holes in the floor of our "winter camper". We had a blast, fishing was slow but we did have a fish fry and a fun time visiting, hanging out with family and good friends.
Something clever here.

We took it pretty easy and hung out at home. My dad and stepmom came down and we celebrated New Years and Christmas. It was fun and relaxing. But, I'm glad it's over.

I hope everyone has a very good New Year. For our Christmas/New Years holiday, our whole family got Strep Throat. Instead of family dinners, we gathered around and took our antibiotics. The only time we got out was med runs to the pharmacy. Even though we've gone through a quart of Purell and 3 containers of Clorox wipes, I still wouldn't come around here without a HAZMAT suit on. And if any of you have pictures of Rooster in his footie pajamas, post em up. We'll even come up with a little reward!

I'm sure there are plenty of pics floating around that Rooster wouldn't want us to see. But having met Jim and being able to call him a friend...there ain't nobody in hell that wants to see a pic of Rooster Jim in footie pajamas.

You guys wouldn't believe the snow piles I have piled up at my place. It's the first year since I bought my old POS plow truck that I've been able to use it more than once per winter. I can't believe they pile snow as high as they do!
North, South and East of the start of the driveway (closest to house) I have snow piles 6-10 feet high and on the north side, 50 yards wide. Much of this is drifted snow due to west winds.
I would say this is ridiculous but it's actually a pretty "normal" MN winter. We've been lucky the last two since I acquired the plow truck.
Prior to that I used a 2186 Cub Cadet with chains, weight box and a 42" blower on the front. The last nasty winter was 2013 I believe and I had enough of that method. Cold, stuck, frozen beer...uhhhh shutter....
lol
