So, did Green Bay win in spite of Capers or in spite of McCarthy (or in spite of both)?

Amazing that the Packers could do all of that with Nelson out.  He is a very good player, but with the size of rosters that there are today, it always amazes me that the announcers act like each team only has one person capable of playing a given position. Times were much better when there were people like Earl Morrall, Gary Cuozzo, Zeke Bratkowski, Billy Kilmer, etc. who could step in and keep things going. Of course back then, there were all sorts of candy-asses like Ray Nitschke, Gino Marchetti, Ernie Stautner, Doug Atkins, and Chuck Bednarik who played with sleeves. Why do they need the SuperBowl and a champion? They have divisions and conferences; winning one of those should be enough. In the end, just let the fans vote for who is the best each season, right?
America needs to understand that our troops are not 'disposable'. Each represents a family; Fathers, Mothers, Sons, Daughters, Cousins, Uncles, Aunts... Our Citizens are our most valuable treasure; we waste far too many.

I have no problem with the NFL having a play-off (other than the fact that it should only involve division champions) since their whole structure is set up for that.
