Remingtons issue is that they are beholden to the Holding company. It is all about profits nothing more nothing less. The fact that cheapazz rifles demand is high is not a good sign for the future. Wood and Blue's days are numbered.

That said in a fantasy world

Make the best hammerforged barrels they can make
Bring back the 6mm rem, 6.5 rem and 350 rem
Limited runs of the Nosler cartridges
Buy triggers from Timney
Bring back the titanium
Make a 3 lug Model 700

Control the headspace. I would much rather see close to zero than close to max like these days happens too often.
Bead blasted bolts are too rough, and don't blast the face of the bolt.

And don't put too much chamfer on the firing pin hole either.

If they had a line of ADL SS sporters with B&C stocks in logical chamberings with MSRP of $900 and street price of $750, I'm guessing they'd sell well. My battery is evolving in that direction. Basically a line of faux-ti and faux-KS rifles.

Faux-ti:
B&C ADL stock, normal recoil pad (not the dense sticky sponge) for a ~26oz stock weight, 22" mountain barrel contour, SS, chambered in 223, 243, Creedmoor, 7-08, 308, 270, 280, 30-06.

Faux-KS:
B&C ADL stock as above, sporter contour barrel in 22" for .473 and 24" for magnum, SS, expanded chamberings in addition to those listed above: 25-06, 7mm RM, 300 Winmag, 338 Winmag.

Heavy Mag faux-KS:
Stock as above but with heavier fill to 32oz, magnum contour barrel at 24", chambered in 300WM, 338WM, 375HH, 416, 458 and Lott.

Last and least, for those who don't hunt, an ultramag KS with specs per above, 26" barrel, chambered in the long action ultras. Maybe also a shortmag KS as well at 24".

They'll miss the boat bigly if they favor chambering the 260 over the creedmoor in normal rifles.

Learn how to properly time the bolt handle! The newer actions are actually pretty true vs the older actions.
Offer more calibers in the CDL fluted model.

#1 Start selling ALL the bullet they make to the handloading market. Grow that part of the market with your bullets and make it a high priority.

#2 Start making the old bolt actions that were modified from the 1917 Enfield design. The M-30 is what I am talking about, but I care not what they would call it or number it today. Those were the best bolt actions Remington ever made, and among the best the world has seen.
Charge a reasonable amount to make a profit, and for those that can't pay that much, keep making the M700s too.

#3 Improve the M760 with a better extractor and a splined hanger for the for-end so it doesn't twist enough to touch the barrel. Improve the triggers too so they can be used to a higher degree of shooters satisfaction. These rifles can be extremely accurate and need to be taken more seriously. Shooters will not start to take them more seriously until Remington does.

#4 Come up with a far better customer service department. One that actually has real people who will actually interact with customers. Treat people like you REALLY appreciate them instead of treating them like numbers.

#5 Start to make AR rifle in both the AR15 and the AR10 sizes that are set up from the factory with match grade triggers, free float tubes, and get rid of all the rails on the handguards that look "tacticool but are largely worthless. Make the best hunting rifle you can instead of just "another AR".

Give us a -5"7" rail at 6:00 and a FF tube that is light. Get rid of all the other crap. If left smooth or knurled, we can add hard point as and when we want them.

Keep the weight down on the AR-10 size rifles to no more then 8.5 pounds out of the box and 8 would be better. It's not impossible. Just quite using 1 pound of metal where 12 oz will do fine. A totally free floated barrel need not be heavy at all.

Give us AR-15s in 204 Ruger, 5.56 NATO, 6.5 Grendal, 6.8 SPC and 458 SOCOM, and maybe 300 BK and possibly 7.62X39.

Give us "AR-10"s in 260, 7-08, 308 338 Fed and 358 Winchester, and this time do enough R and D to make sure they really work reliably before you market them.

And lastly, bring out the 30 Rem AR like they really mean it. REMINGTON --- QUIT KILLING YOUR OWN KIDS!

Look Remington, it's simply a fact that the AR market is the new trend and it's here to stay. Quit with all P.C. B.S! Stop compromising with the gun haters and start to cater to the gun lovers.

If you offer the M-700 in 15+ different calibers it's not unreasonable to expect 5-8 for each of the ARs. People build what they can't buy easily. If I am being asked to build these things pretty often, it's safe to say there is a demand.
Meet that demand!

Indeed!

Would put down money on a lh, SA, Springfield.
I would like a lh model 7.
If it had 3 lugs at bolt diameter and a blind magazine and put the safety on the rear of the bolt, even better.
Heck, a lh, SA, 3 lug Springfield, WJOOT!
