I had the same issue, I didn't feel like grinding on my handle so just got low rings smile. I might get a spare handle from Kimber and try that!

I installed a fluted Ti Ascent handle from Chris84. Make me an offer on my factory Ascent fluted handle if interested...

That's a darn good idea, though I really can't use a scope much lower on the MT.
