North, South and East of the start of the driveway (closest to house) I have snow piles 6-10 feet high and on the north side, 50 yards wide. Much of this is drifted snow due to west winds.

I would say this is ridiculous but it's actually a pretty "normal" MN winter. We've been lucky the last two since I acquired the plow truck.

Prior to that I used a 2186 Cub Cadet with chains, weight box and a 42" blower on the front. The last nasty winter was 2013 I believe and I had enough of that method. Cold, stuck, frozen beer...uhhhh shutter....

lol

Plow truck is a good fit for me too.

I started with that old yellow pickup I got from Dusty, probably around 2004? That's when I stopped moving snow with an antique tractor.

I've had a few other plow trucks since, you would really like a V plow with the hand control that you can hold in your hand as you shift. V plows are awesome.

Something clever here.

I have a buddy that has a setup like that. Once time we were on a weekend visit with them and we left the wives inside and went out and played with the plow truck. Just because. lol

Just an FYI in case anyone wants to laugh hysterically at a fellow campfire member: I have been asked to do the Red Bull Crashed Ice race (they are having a special goalie race) in St Paul on Feb 4th.

I may die, but it will be epic.

Aw man! This I gotta see! I'll just politely put in the first request. Can I have your butchering equipment?

Yes. I may wear players skates instead of goalie skates, but will try both on practice runs.

There are required practices for the 4 goalies on the two days before the race, so it may not be too bad.

At first I was thinking nah, I'm too old, but then I realized that I would regret not doing it forever. I'm in pretty good shape right now so it's more about not crashing and dying.....

The funny thing is that the guy I hunt with said the same damn thing the second I told him I "might" do it.

What's that saying though? I'm afraid the Mrs might sell all my guns for what I told her I paid for them......

It is free admission to watch. The guy said there are big jumbo-tron screens, so you can see all the action, not just the little part of the track you are near.

When is it, and do you have any idea what time you'll be rolling down er, racing down the course?

So how many splints, ace bandages, rolls of gauze and tape should I bring?

Part of the reason my wife is OK with me doing it is mayor Coleman goes down the course every year to "test" it. He isn't a complete ankle-bender, but he has yet to score on me on a breakaway in a charity game.

He hasn't died yet doing it. And I will be wearing full goalie-gear.

My knees are OK, but I will also be wearing bilateral hinged braces to keep them stable if I biff-it hard.

I would guess that if I get injured, it will be something that requires more than some gauze......
