Saw an Ithaca 20 gauge today that I had never seen before. Ultra Featherweight. With an English style no pistol grip stock. On consignment for $350 thinking I need this.. I have a standard vent rib Ithaca featherweight and it seems heavy in comparison. What kind of value would this have? Thinking 1980's time frame.

Hi jack here: LGS has a 12 ga featherweight thats new enough to have choke tubes. It also comes with a deer slayer barrel that I didnt see displayed.
Are those barrels rifled? sights? scope mount?
Cost... $337
good deal? Good gun?
Other than that, How was the show Mrs. Lincoln?

Don't know about the old ones, but the new Deer Slayer barrels are rifled. New enough to have choke tubes in the other barrel it may be rifled. http://ithacagun.com/deerslayer2.phpGreat price, great shotgun.

Well it's not a deer slayer.. but I could not resist, about NIB without the box. Nice walnut for an Ithaca no butt plate or recoil pad, just the finished wood stock.. Still has the "Walnut" sticker on the butt. I guess now I will let my son the lefty have my 20 gauge Featherweight. I'm guessing it worth the money I paid and more.

It would take a real idiot to pass that gun up at that price.

Thats a cool gun. Aluminum receiver, I think. 5-5 1/2 lbs. Love Ithaca 37's, these came out in the mid 80's when I was in high school.

Well I did buy it.. Correct name I guess is the English Ultra, dates to 1982 by the serial number. LGS got a bunch of guns in from an estate on consignment. Also picked up a S&W Model 53 8 3/8" with the extra 22LR cylinder in the box with another set of 22LR inserts for $1500. It was an eclectic collection, wish I had more money.. 1957 K-38 about mint $550, A Remington 541 deluxe with engraving on the receiver, a Winchester Model 52 with a bull barrel from the 30's, a Browning FN Mauser in 284 Winchester don't really know these, but it was a hi grade model $1500 and several others one does not see often all were IMHO very good prices especially where I live.

They usually sell for more than that in good condition.
