Ok, so I have owned several different McMillan stocks for Winchesters, but none are "quite right" - Supergrade has a square forearm, others too much drop, etc. Last I checked they would no longer inlet the Remington Sporter (or other non-Winchester stocks in their website) for a Win M70.
Echols hasn't shown to have any of his Legend stocks available for a good while.
So thinking either order a flat top (non-inletted) Remington Sporter, or a Legendary Arms Works stock,
Who can/will inlet one of these stocks? Any recommendations? Not sure this is something I want to tackle myself.
Thanks!!!

Would love to know too, you would think it would be simple with a CNC mill, once you have a program you could do it forever/ on anything.
They will only inlet a kimber 8400 action on the A5, too bad, I'd love one in a game warden with edge fill :]

There is this small roadblock called action depth that will keep you from using certain stock styles with certain barrelled actions.

You can only get so much for premium prices.

Understood (not sure if this was meant for me), but the stock's I mentioned are either 1) made for Winchester, just not inletted (LAW), or 2) have been previously inletted by McMillan for Winchesters and have talked with other members here that have one and happy with it.

As long as the action fits the depth and width of the stock then there is no issue that a properly programmed CNC machine could not handle.

Yep understood, just wondered if anyone has a recommendation for a place/person that has done this work for them.

Long rifles Inc has done a ton of inlets.
I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.

Cool video!
I've got a Manners T2 that's inleted for a Rem magnum contour, needs to get opened up for a heavy palma contour. "X" axis ball screw in my machine is shot, waiting for a new one before I cut on my stock. Don't need it seizing up in the middle of a cut.
