Looking for feedback from 270 WSM loaders out there. Trying to make my model 70, 270 WSM into a reasonable intermediate range hunting rifle 500-600 yards. What powders would you recommend for the heavier 140-150gr bullets for optimum velocity / accuracy?

look at ramshot magnum

All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

I'm using RL22 with 140 TSXs and 160 partitions. No issues and good groups.

Back when I was reloading for the 270WSM, I had good results with W760.

RE26 has shown some fantastic velocity with accuracy to boot. I'm using 140 Accubonds. I've had similar results with RE 19 but the but like the copper fouling reduction of the newer powder.

I have success with RL-25. 140 Hornady SST's at 3150 fps.
Reliably accurate.

With RL-22 I got accuracy at 3050fps with 140 Hornady Interlocks. I was looking for 3200 fps so shelved the RL-22.

Try the 150 & 160 grainers as well.

I use it for the 130 grain interbond, I am experimenting with Retumbo for the heavier bullets.

I use Lyman 49 data and a chronograph with 150 grain bullets and IMR 7828. I add a grain when working with 140 grain bullets. No exotic bullets, just Partitions, Grand Slams, and Hornadys'.

I get a very accurate 3015 fps with the 150's.

I'm sure H 4350 would be great.

Ditto on both counts
