My oldest (17) is in DC for the Pro Life March. 450 students from the area Catholic High Schools are participating. Can't say I was overly enthused, since the environment of last week was so horrible.
He called today to tell me he was part of something special. It has meaning. Speaking for the unborn.
Never protested anything in my life, and I am not really sure my definition of "protest" fits here. I equate protests with violence....mostly. He says everyone is nice, and he hasn't run into any communists yet. Very peaceful gathering with a purpose.
Rather proud of him at the moment. Seems he just turned the corner from bumbling teenager to a young man. Guess I wasn't expecting such a grown up reaction from him.

My wife is there, and goes every year. Note that they are not violent, and there's no profanity on their signs. They also put their trash in trash cans.
