I've got a howa 308 with a high tech specialties and it changes the whole rifle. Much better feel.

Sixpack: I have three Remington 700 SPS Rifles - two in 223 Remington and one in 22-250 Remington.
All of them are accurate enough to have permanent status in my arsenal of Varmint guns!
They are all the heavy barrel models and to date I have not upgraded any parts.
I have not owned or shot a Howa 1500 so can't really do a direct comparison for you.
Best of luck to you with whichever you choose.

Remington my experience they will out shoot the Howa. just my two cents worth. you will be happy with either one because the 223 is a great caliber. Forget the chevy talk this is Ford country.

Have you weighed your rifle with the HTS stock?

Well, I ended up ordering an ADL synthetic blued. We shall see how it goes. I'm pretty excited to get it.

Good choice

Will Munny: It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.

The Schofield Kid: Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming.

Received rifle yesterday and got to shoot it today. Everything seems good. Shoots most everything around an inch and best so far was around 3/4". Obvious needs:
1. Trigger sux bad! Timney very soon
2. Cut barrel to 21" and recrown
3. Metal trigger guard instead of cheap plastic one
4. Cerakote
5. Mcmillian stock

And then I imagine it will be my favorite rifle. Can't believe I waited this long for a 223 bolt! Gonna get shot a lot!
