In case you haven't been following the hunting rifles thread, Whittaker Guns is blowing out the last of the remaining T3 (non T3X) guns starting today. Some of the prices have already been dropped on their site. Looks like they have the Lite Stainless in 243 and 270 for $449, and the Hunters in LH in several calibers (not yet updated)

$450 for a stainless Tikka Lite is in the ballpark price range of a stainless RAR, and while I sure like my RAR it ain't no Tikka.
Smokin' hot deal there.

Yep, just what I was thinking, and what's it's replacing. Nothing wrong with the RAR, but the Tikka has more tinkering potential with all the aftermarket stuff. LOL
Looks like they have the Hunter LH in Swede and 260 as well as several others. Will be interesting to see what price those get chopped to.

Well, that was short lived. The price is now back up to $698.99 for the .243 and .270.This is like a shell game, look away and they change. They are back with some other lefties all at $449.99. See the thread in Hunting Rifles. https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbth...new/1/New_Tikka_closeout_list....#UNREAD

I was able to snag one of the wood stocked lefty .260's. Been wanting that rifle for what seems like a couple years now. Can't say no at $450.

looks like I was too slow. all sold out on their weekly add unless I'm missing something.
They say everything happens for a reason. For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

Dang. Missed out on a 243 for the boys. Double dang. If a stainless RAR would work for them, let me know. And, you could keep about $100 in your pocket. Dealers and distributors are currently out of these.

They aren't $450, that was an extremely rare deal for closeout stock, but if someone wants a new left hand T3x SS Lite Whittaker's has some of the best prices I've found on those. Normal retail around the web runs anywhere from $711 to well over $800, Whittaker's has them for $620 (619.99 to be exact). That's cheaper than the nominal price T3's were going for at retail a year ago. Not a huge selection but they have a .243, .22-250, .270, .30-06 , 7mm RM and so forth - you know, the "rare and unpopular" calibers. Wish I could talk myself into one but am holding out for a LH 6.5 Creedmore Hunter which I'm hoping will be showing up before too awful long.

Full size. But if they need a shorter stock, the compact stock is available from Ruger, and fits either gun
