My condolences to all you who knew him. I respected his point of view and found his posts as practical and well informed.

I am also shocked and saddened at this as I enjoyed our conversations per PM and one fairly long phone call. He was a congenial man and very knowledgeable regarding all things "rifle."

Wow!
I'm stunned, shocked. I knew he had health issues, wasn't ready for this.
Bob was eloquent, a real word smith. Maybe something to do with his legal training, probably just natural talent.
I always respected his opinions and experience.
We lost a great one.
Rest In Peace, brother.

So very sorry to hear this. I got to share a Kansas hunt with him just last year. RIP Bob.

Rock on Bob...... 7/08? Yawn Give me a 270 or 280. Just another target round designed to knock over silhouette rams. The whole short action business is "who cares"?

Very sad to learn of Bob's passing. I always enjoyed his posts.
From now on whenever I pick up a 270 or a 7MM Magnum, I will remember BobinNH.

I am stunned and heart broken to see this news of Bob.
One of my most favorite people here and I am at a loss.
It won't be the same here................
Bob, I will miss you!
Your knowledge of hunting and firearms will remain with me/us.

Do you know if his obituary is, or is going to be, in the Manchester Union Leader?
If so, the MUL has a guest book option where you can leave messages and offer condolences to the family.

So sorry to hear of this. Always looked forward to Bob "waxing eloquently" about pre-64 model 70s, 270 wins and 7mm Mashburn Super Magnums. He will be missed here. RIP BobinNH.....

I've not met anyone from this forum given my locale. There's a lot I would like to meet though, and Bob was top of the list.
What a shame.
How old was Bob?

It's sad that there's no rhyme or reason as to why the worst don't go first.
RIP Bob.
