The 1902 Winchester sold to some guy in 1919 for 50 cents.
I paid $245 today.
Over 98 years, that is 6.5%/year compounded annually.
Those Winchesters are big earners.
Most guns are 3%.

How is the bore on the 1902? Poor bores are the only thing that kept me from buying one.

That bore is perfect. If it sold in 1919, they must have had smokeless with non corrosive primers.

I got a Savage 1904 two weeks ago that looks much like it, and it has no riflings left at all.

Is the 1902 Long Rifle or Extra Long? I bought one close to 50 years ago for $10.00 that is Extra Long. It too has a perfect bore.
