Maybe Brady should rest the 1st 4 games every year. Something similar works for basketball players. Who knows how it might extend his longevity without the extra punishment. Send Goodell a postcard thanking him for the idea.

i still think they knew who'd win from the start. one team was free to play for half the game the other got to play the second half.looked a little obvious to me.
i'm a nobody fan ,most football i've seen in my life was last night.only because there was nothing else on.

Atlanta's offensive staff needs to get learned up on Buddy Ryan's opinion of the Chuck & Duck offense's short comings.

I think it's unfair to judge Atlanta's defense quite so harshly. They played over twice as many snaps as their offense did and were on the field for over 40.5 minutes while New England's defense was only on the field 23.5 minutes. Atlanta's offense didn't help their defense nearly enough to keep them from getting so run down. The Atlanta defensive backs were holding most of the second half because they were tired from chasing New England receivers so much. When the Pats won the overtime toss they all must have groaned.
I do think the Atlanta team got out-coached but I also think their offense is what really lost the game for them. A 1 for 8 third down efficiency is telling. This^^^^^^^^^^^^^ It would not have mattered if Lady Gaga were the QB of NE, the genius is Belichik . He has won SB's with all level of talent . He knows how to win and exactly how to do it on a consistent basis. Best NFL coach that ever coached and he learned his craft from some good ones as well.

Jarrett tied a SB record with 3 sacks in the 1st half. Anyone who can get handled by 300lb of muscle that often, in addition to the other hits he took, and keep going is someone special.

Brady's passing was almost pin point precision in 4th qtr. Nobody is giving NE defense credit but I think their ability in 2nd half to change whatever they did to stop Atlanta's running game was the pivotal adjustment of the game. Without that, NE can't come back.
And as a Colts fan, I say yeah Tom Brady is best QB I've ever seen play...

That's what my two oldest grand kids were yelling at the end of the game. GOAT, GOAT, GOAT. Over the past two weeks all the kids in high school were wearing a Patriots sweatshirt with the number 12, and G.O.A.T. on it. Greatest Of All Time. Of course the old bastard that I am, they had to explain it to me.

I've read all the posts here and one thing is certain the B&B connection works wonders with whatever players they have to work with.. There might even be a sixth ring and title down the road for them..

Ya, I can talk him down.
What I saw is a QB in the third quarter sulking on the bench instead of trying to keep his team up. I think in this case it was the Patriot team picking Brady up off the floor as he seemed to be giving up. Instead of working the sideline, he chose to sit on his ass with his head in his hands, up until things started to go their way. Damn good QB, not the best ever. Any number of QBs could have achieved five with those teams, that coach, that organization.

As a good a game as ever was with a QB as good as any.
You have to give him his due, like him or hate him.
MM I will never be a Patriots fan, but I have to admire what Brady and Belechek (sp)(don't know and don't care) have done. donsm70
