Iron sights were very popular when the brought the fwt back to market in 1981. That's a very nice XTR. I'm going to assume the serial # range is from 145xxxx to 1808xxx... It got traded off in one of my youthful quests for the newest and greatest. Good find. Last edited by mart; 02/05/17. Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.

That's a pretty rifle and a great caliber. Have a standard model in 300 H&H of about that vintage, one of the most accurate rifles I've ever owned. `Bring Enough Gun`

Still have it - still love it.. But about two years after I bought that one, it's sister showed up on the same rack at the LGS.. Same price.. I passed. And I'm still kicking myself in the azz for THAT smart move... Ex- USN (SS) '66-'69 Pro-Constitution. LET'S GO BRANDON!!!
