It's black and grey...could be the lighting. This would be great for someone who wants to change the grip or forearm dimensions. Could recontour any number of ways and then finish...without having to remove any other Boyd's finish.
Naw, It's black and grey when it is finished the color will come out. I had a thumb hole Boyd's nutmeg put on my son's browning abolt last year. It worked out very good. That's a good price for this one.
Anyone that doesn't learn something new everyday has their eyes and ears closed with their mouths open.
