Why wouldn't NPS law enforcement have ammo?

You should see a BLM ranger. He has the full swat look going on. A few years ago,it was reported, all the alphabet agency's were buying millions of rounds of ammo. Someone must have known where the NPS was storing some of theres.

At Crater Lake they gotta keep the heathens from piss'n in the Lake.

When you go on vacation and take a .22, how many rounds do you bring? Thousands isn't very many.

How much is thousands? One, two, three thousand? They probably have some handgun and rifle rounds, plus some shotgun rounds. Maybe even a brick of 22s. Thousands doesn't sound like much really. Hundreds of thousands might make me wonder though.

It's the f'n govt, it's probably hundreds of thousands of rounds.

National Parks have experienced and uptick in crime over the past years and the rangers have been trained and deputized to combat it; many are armed. A thousand rounds is the equivalent of 20 50 round boxes; I've got mere in my basement storage room. No big deal here.

Must be the country negros?

When a government agency orders anything they order in an economical quantity. Ordering 2 boxes of 50 rounds and then parceling them out among 50 rangers just doesn't make sense.

Except National Parks are generally in rural white areas; you should have said "Must be the country white rednecks?"

Personally I'd think you should show us data proving an uptick of crime in national parks; and how arming park rangers has helped take a bite out of crime.

I know your a lifelong government employee, and government can't do any wrong; so explain who's idea it was to combat said crime with armed rangers, the training they receive, and the demographic and crimes of criminals.

Guns aren't allowed in NP's so how can they have crime? No guns, no crime, right?

I believe firearms are allowed in National Parks. I had a rifle in my vehicle visible to the folks at the gate and entered Yellowstone several times.

I don't have a problem with them having guns in parks, there's crazies everywhere. But I should be able to as well.

I always figured those millions of rounds of govt HP ammo that was bought up years ago just got distributed around the country in case Billy Joe Redneck decided to have himself an uprising.
