All around rifle for my buddy. Need a GOOD scope not a pig but not a superlight compact either. CDS like turrets for longer range a super plus! Must track true. What say you?

SWFA 3-9x42 HD. Great scope for the money and that is what's on mine.

I buy the Leupold VXIIIi 4.5x14 CDS, either 40 or 50 mm. They are great scopes. Very clear.

Where is it getting used the most?

Bench at the "range"?

Hunting?

LR Steel?

Living Room floor as you lay behind it and yell "BANG"?

Several votes here for the 3-9 SS. Right now that's in the running for my favorite scope...I have 5 of them...BUT, the mounting length is pretty challenged. On a 7 Rem Mag action you'll need a rail or some pretty extended extended mounts.

I'd vote 10X SS Mil Quad, S&B 3-12x42/50, S&B PMII 10x42, or, if you can live with SFP, 3.5-15 NXS.

That's just the ones I own and can comment on...

If it's gotta track, then SWFA would be the simplest route to get there.

Either a 6x or 3-9x.
