Kinda poor pic. Two 40X rimfire receivers and 2 Kiff bolt assemblies.

Bob, I'm pretty much where I want to be in my mind. The bolt will go out next week to Dan Armstrong for one of his beautiful bolt handles. A PT&G 3 POS safety is on the way. I plan on installing a external bolt release on it. I've used the Anshutz before. A Jewell or Shilen trigger, The barrel is a Bartlien gain twist, LH twist, with 8 grooves. I normally use Roger Vardy walnut from Australia, but how will it look with a SS barrel. Yes, This one will have adjustable aperture sights.

I would really like to know more about the PT&G 3 position safety. I really like the look of those being a Pre 64 70 fan, but they are also very versatile and robust compared to the stock 700/40X trigger units. And it would eliminate the trigger safety. What's not to like. How hard are they to install? Something a guy with a little patience could do in his fairly well equipped shop?
Personally, I like walnut and stainless but I admit it is a personal preference and not everyone is on board with my opinions on this.
Which model of aperture sights fit the 40X action?

I don't think it would be difficult to install the safety. It comes with good instructions. Bob, I will probably adapt whatever I pick. I prefer the Wittic Vaver that has a variety of inserts to screw into the eyepiece.

Why do I get the feeling that down the road you are going to show us pictures of ultra nice 40x rimfires shooting some very tiny groups?
Very nice.
