http://www.landwatch.com/Latimer-County-Oklahoma-Land-for-sale/pid/25044959 landwatch I have owned this land since 1984. The cabin was completed in 1988. and has beds for up to 12 hunters. This was a family hunting property, but everyone has moved on or died. This property is in the bear hunting zone and has a bait station and enclosed blind built for bear hunting. Numerous trophy deer have been killed on this property over the years and the turkey hunting is great. A food plot has been established with a permanent elevated blind and a 500 pound, bear proof spin feeder. permanent water hole near food plot. No electricity or water service. We used a portable generator and water totes. Remote location with easy access through a locked gas company gate. Selling to fund another purchase for retirement. Perry

I grew up just a few miles from there. Hunted the area throughout my youth. It will be a great area for hunting for a long time. Best wishes on the sale. Great place to get off the grid.

Time for someone else to make memories in this place. If you collected all the bullshit spread around that campfire you could fertilize a desert and the meals we cooked could feed a 3rd world country. The cabin is known as the sawmill because of all the logs the old men sawed each night in that place. Now I am one of those old men and no one is around to hear me saw them.

That's some good country for sure. Looks like there are gas wells on or nearby? Any electricity to them? If so, might not take much to drop some in at the cabin. Any burying beetles??

Not likely to have electricity close by. The sites have mostly been abandoned and when they were operational they used solar for electricity. No beetles evident in that part of the country. The mature pine was logged off the property in about 1996.

Bump it for a good hunting prospect location. Some place to build good memories from.

No mineral rights and buying land in Oklahoma with mineral rights is rare.

The only bears to show up at the bait or on camera were sows with cubs. One good sized boar was sighted during Turkey season a couple of years ago and scared the crap out of my stepdad's brother who was from Indiana. They ain't got no bears in Indiana and he was not too keen on leaving camp after that encounter.
I have not hunted bears the past 3 years, even though I bought a tag each year. If fill the bait station each year with dog food, rough fish, sweet feed, used turkey fryer oil or all of the above and it always attracts bears by the sign left at the feeder.
