Hello all, I need help selecting an appropriate mount for my 6.5 Grendel AR. I have recently purchased a Vortex PST 4-16x50 ffp with the intention of delving into longer range shooting to what I'm accustomed. I borrowed a Burris PEPR mount from another scope but the rings are really thick(bulky) and I can forsee an issue with manipulating the side-focus knob. I'm thinking I would rather have rings that tighten top/bottom(screw location) rather than on the sides. I also suppose I ought to get a 10 or 20moa cant incase I run out of adjustment im the scope itself going out to 1000m. Money is always a factor but I am not averse to spending a little more if dividends will be paid but I'd rather be under $150 if I can. For those with a similar set-up, would something along the lines of AeroPrecsion's UL mount be worth looking at? The ADM recon looks like a contender as well as the Larue (112 I think it is but they may be out of production)? Any other recommendations? Thank you for any assistance.

Badger Ordnance makes a very good mount for the money, different height options too. You could spend more though if you feel you need the QD feature or like the looks of something else.

Warne XSkell 20 MOA MSR Mount These can be purchased well within your budget. I have one on a bull barreled AR15. Great mount. Dan

Thank you, gentlemen, for the replies.
Markhammett, is there a specific reason you have for switching your Aeros to Bobro mounts. Were they failing to meet a need or is it cosmetics, etc. I appreciate user feedback anytime I can get it before I buy. I want to get as much sugar as I can for my dime, but I don't want to give up too many dimes for the same amount of sugar.
Dantheman, I'll look at the Warne MSR mount. I had not seen those before that I can recall.
I do not need a QD option for this mount. I want it mounted solid at all times. I do have a Vortex PST 1-4 in a Larue on a 300blk which has served me well for several years. I thought of swapping that mount but I regularly swap between the 1-4 and my night-vis on that rifle.
I don't think I'm comfortable using two-piece rings with a cant on an AR.

I made the switch just because of the QD option. The areo is a quality mount.
