I also emailed Hornady asking for a special run of ammo. I think the 75 ELD would go nicely with the rifle. Some handload, some don't. It would be nice for a factory offering for those that don't. It'd be a waste to not utilize the twist...

Awaiting decisions, but it won't be a 22-250.

Uh-oh......I've been looking for a stainless fluted 260 since I missed out on that deal. Might have to go 22-250 instead!

When the 22 Creedmoor is released, do you think this gun will be able to shoot that ammo with no modifications?
Are they the same case dimensions?

Are they the same case dimensions? I can't answer that, but I doubt it. I'd expect it wouldn't chamber because the Creedmoor has less taper. With that being said, I've never examined the Creedmoor cartridge drawing.

And something else to ponder...does the 22 Creedmoor have much appeal when a fast twist 22-250 is available? 22-250 brass is available from multiple manufacturers, Ammo abounds as well. Granted, match grade high BC ammo isn't prominent for the 22-250. I assume the 22 Creedmoor will come out of the gate with the correct twist and ammo designed to maximize the cartridge.
What if the 243 was twisted as fast as the 6mm Creedmoor? What if match grade high BC ammo was readily available for the 243?
The 22-250 and the 243 both allow some flexibility within mag confines. The Creedmoor may be a little better case design, but it's not significantly better. Try keeping a 130 VLD in a 6.5 Creedmoor within mag confines while kissing the lands in a standard mag box. It won't happen with most manufacturers.
I like the Creedmoor. This is just something that may appeal to guys already deep in 22-250 components. I didn't want to reinvent the wheel. I'm just trying to grease the wheel I have to optimize performance.
