Some great additions there, boys.

Kingston, good stuff and love the shots of the cranberry bogs--especially the one with the yellow lab in the floaters. That your Joe? Your frog shots had me smiling, and lord what a freak of a berry in your hand. Never knew one so huge existed. Question: what is that one thing that looks sort of reminiscent of a revolver cylinder, a specialized sprinkler head?

Bucktales, good to 'see' you here, my friend! Who is that handsome devil doing specialized marine calibration and testing of the boat's balance in the bow, anyway? wink

Rog', I know how much you enjoy it up here. Door's always open to you. But you know that already. Thanks for posting up with my pics, BTW. grin

Kenneth, I can get you out with a guy who fishes year round for a living who does charters as a side gig. Say the word and I'll get you in touch with him. You won't regret it.

That's the rotating group from a variable displacement axial piston hydraulic pump.

The part that looks like a revolver cylinder is call a "cylinder"!

They're very cool as objects go!

I could really enjoy getting into some stripers if possible, or if there is some other local bite in swing, game on.

I'm at a crossroads here folks, time to get serious and book some rooms,

1. 4/5 days in Boston then head south to the Cape area for 3 days?

2. 4/5 days in Boston then head North to Maine for 3 days?

3. Head Quarter in Boston for a week and daytrips out if needed? This one seems least logical.

So much to do in that area.......

you got to remember its not a big state, my drive to work could take me across it 3-4 times , you'll have about a 80 mile run outta Boston either north or south.

Ken,

If it were me, I'd do three nights in Boston sans car, then rent a car on the day you check out of your downtown hotel. Get thee then down to the cape for three nights there. Leave Cape Cod morning of day 4 and head to the North Shore, bypassing Boston. Spend the day checking out Cape Ann, and areas just north; you wouldn't regret it. I know a guy who is happy to help on this part of your trip. wink

Get checked into a modest hotel up that way, eat killer food for another day, see some of the great little seaports this part of the world has and thrived on for a couple centuries. Maybe spend the next day checking out coastal NH and drive into Maine. Last day and night spent in Maine, NH and/or MA (you can be driving in three states inside half an hour in that part of the world). Next day head back into Boston, return the rental at the AP (where you picked it up) and jump on a flight back home.

YMMV, but that's roughly how I'd play it.

If in the Boston area, the best thing would be to head west and don't look back.

In your case, east would hasten the inevitable.
