Well, my work on the boat will start in earnest this Sunday. I should know the results of the biopsy by then. Hoping for the best, of course. I have lots of little stuff to do to truly make it "my" boat. I don't like the wiring-so I'll be changing it. The switches are scattered all over the boat. I want them all on the dash. The running lights are getting an upgrade. Both batteries are most likely going to need replaced. One of the seat posts is missing, so I'll be taking care of that too. All small stuff-the motor and trolling motor work fine, so the main issues are all little stuff.
The other project tied to this is getting my 14' Lund ready to sell. It needs a good cleaning, and I need to put all the gear in it that goes with it. It sat outside all winter, and I had put everything away in the garage. I'll be pricing a propeller for it, as the one on the Evinrude appears to have a spun hub. It's got a busted up seat, but I picked up a replacement at a garage sale, so I'll switch that out. Lots of odds and ends to do. Good to keep busy though.

You live near a great place for boat parts....Fleet Farm! You'll have almost, if not everything you'll need there. Including lights, wiring, and switches.
Camp is where you make it.

No on the .243. Waiting to see where things go here. Thanks for asking. No calls today. I spoke to a very good friend of mine who had a bad bout of cancer. She says if they were real concerned, I'd all ready have the results. When they did her biopsy she had a call to meet her med team at the office the next day. They started treatment on her immediately. She beat it and unlike Dead Dave, is still one of us.

Thank you so much!! So is it safe to say that the older you get, the more of your life becomes a blur? Or is that just me lately... My birthday was amazing with the best present ever!! Dave made me a tailgate swing using my dad's old tailgate off his 1979 F150! I can't wait for warmer weather so we can sit on it. Life seems to have kicked into fast forward and not slowing down. Since I got my promotion in September I travel more and stay later even though I don't want to, I need to get a grasp on things just for a short while then it will get back to normal. When I get home I always like to check in on Dave and the work accomplished during the day...then there's checking up on Joe, his day, check on the other two kids, all my dogs, cats, make supper, wash clothes, wash dishes and sit down to watch tv but only to fall asleep right away. Then since Dad passed last year there are things that need to be attended to back home too. Anyways I've missed stopping in here to sit and chat awhile but it sounds like you all are taking good care of the place. My thoughts and prayers are with you Gopher!! Take care everyone!! Happy Birthday Pam! If I may be so bold as to say it, the sands of time have gone quite easy on you.

My dad had prostate cancer, 7-8 years ago. It was caught early, and he is doing fine. When I looked into it back then, it was and may well still be one of the most treatable forms of that schidt.... keep upgrading your boat, you will have lots of time to use it.

Should hear the results today or Friday. The dr. told me to expect some blood in my urine. That started yesterday. A little disconcerting, but I'll monitor it and talk to him when he calls with the details.

Gopher, good luck!!! I hope the biopsy is ok.
I did not die. I just am in the process of taking a job at the Minneapolis VA hospital, and between that, a trip to Texas, pinewood derby, and general life, have been super busy.

I already told you, but praying for you here too Gopher. This next thing should get your mind to summer mode: I just sent out the email for our first Youth Outdoor Activity Day planning meeting for 2017. This will be the 4th year of the event and last year we had 1,811 kids attend. Not sure how many we will plan for this year!
Tip of the Day: Nearly bald heads on pale white guys and intense sunshine don't mix all that well. And 30 SPF sunscreen isn't enough.
Belated Happy Birthday to Pam! I saw that swing on FB and thought that was really cool. Dave, I have another idea for you. I saw an old Chevy pickup box stood up on end with shelves across it used as a bookcase. I thought of you but forgot to snap a picture. Pretty cool, although we all realize it would have been better if'n it was a Ford!
What you do today is important, you are trading a day in the rest of your life for it.
