Fosters, Becks, Red Stripe and most Labatts. All now made in the USA, but remain priced like imports. Just "ain't" the same! Anything 'Lite' or any IPA - YUCK!!

For most beers today ... they might as well pour it back in the horse. L.W.

This is an old one but still so very true:
What does Coors Light and having sex in a canoe have that is alike?
They are both too close to [bleep] water!!
You will get more flavor eating the can.

Three Philosophers from Ommegang, just can't like it.
And I really can't stand IPA's either.

Beer is now the redneck wine. The more it cost, and the nastier it tastes, the more the snobs claim to love it. Then they will have a new favorite next year. Surprise, it is the new, trendy, brand.
Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!

While I'd agree that a lot of folks (mostly hipsters) have taken it to an extreme the truth is....good beer has always tasted better and cost more than cheap beer. No different than food, whisky, tobacco, or wine....

Douchebags fawning over schitty craft beers is certaibly "a thing" but that's not the whole story. Being expensive don't make it good, and lots of trendy beer is mediocre, but good beer is good beer and everyone's tastes are a little different.

Imported German beer is pasteurized for export, but is often not pasteurized in the home county.
Therefore, it can taste quite differently.
Used to drink a lot of German beer 25-30 years ago, but that was because I didn't really like macro brews.
Now with all the local brews, don't drink imports that much anymore. A lot of good beer out there, not enough time.

I like good whiskey/bourbon/scotch. Beer....., well it's a beer, I'm not an expert, but if it is real cold, and does not have any fruit juice in it, I'll prolly drink it. I buy more Miller HighLife than anything else.........buntingmiester

Don't like IPAs either
Prefer a nice medium dark beer-like Black Butte Porter or. Guinness

FWIW, I my observation is that IPAs are a Gen-X and Millenial thing. Someday they'll probably grow up and figure out how lousy they are. Or not.

I'm kind of out of the loop on beer, but I've started picking up a 6 pack every now and then.
I try one and then another. A few days ago I bought some Bud Light Platinum. It was seriously nasty tasting stuff. I had to fight my way through a 6 pack of it.
The last I bought was good old Miller High Life long necks. It's good. I'll buy some more

IPA has been around long before anyone ever heard of Gen-X or Millenials. There are a lot of IPA's these days that IMO suffer from the more is better syndrome when it comes to hopping. OTOH a well made, balanced IPA is a very nice beer indeed.

I had some Goose Island Winter Ale last night. So did the drain in the sink.
