300 yard peanut shoot in Cove City,NC on March 25. 5 shots on a bullseye target and one shot at a peanut glued to the center of a 50yd small bore target. It's only 20$ and you get a t-shirt! No sighters, no mechanical rest, no muzzle brakes, any safe rifle and any sight. Shooting prone off bags or bipod. Bench for disabled shooters. Call Tim 2526357246. Yes the peanut is shelled and skinned.

It seems odd that the fact that the peanut is skinned is worth mentioning.

Not that I could hit it, skinned or not.

Just struck me as odd.

What's the prize?

A peanut with the skin on is brown.

Shooting it would be racist.

I used to shoot in an archery Hunter's League. No target bows, no magnifying sights. Shots were through various obstacles, from standing or kneeling positions depending on the station. At the end of the night each week we did a pipe shoot. A pipe, slightly bigger than the diameter of a field tipped arrow was imbedded in the back stop. You had to get your arrow in the pipe. A perfect shot. Everyone threw in $5.00 and got one shot. The pot accumulated until someone won it. If you jumped in anytime after the first week, you had to pay up for all the weeks it hadn't been won. I actually won it one week, but it had been won the week before so there wasn't much money in the pot. One of the guys won about $200.00 one time. Winner always bought the first round of beer after the session was done.

My old club has a golf ball shoot with pistols at 15 yards followed by a golf ball shoot at 100 yards with .22 rimfires. All shooting is done off hand and is timed - five balls sitting on tees - take'em down as fast as you can.

Ruger's rule!

The prize is bragging rights until the next shoot...
