Political joke from that era. Ted Kennedy was trying for the democrat nomination for president to run against Nixon. Nixon had put a man on the moon and Kennedy couldn't get a whore across a bridge.

Only reason I knew about it growing up was because of family that lived on the Cape. Just a silly thing that happened. Lore. Move on, nothing here that would interest anyone much.
