He went through 5 1/2 years in a hell hole prison in Viet Nam.
He was tortured daily and I'm pretty sure that 5 1/2years seemed like 500 years
I read his book about the time he spent there and it is scary as hell. And I'm sure it seemed like hell.
I dealt with him directly when I was with the Navy and he was very impressive but also very edgy, all of which is understandable.
I think we can justifiably give him some slack. We owe him big-time.
Steve
Yes thanks for your sacrifice but your time is up and you need to get the hell out of D.C.! You are a stuttering old fool who is trying to remain relevant.
My home is the "sanctuary residence" for my firearms.
Senility is bad but enough .... but these guys are claiming that John (Insane) McCain may actually be responsible for some of the White House leaks. See:

With respect, no sir. We owe him nothing. The service he gave is out weighed and over shadowed by what he has been and done the last 10+ years. McCain has fallen far.
He's done much more TO the USA than he did FOR her. Using his time of service/suffering to enable a career of wealth/privilege doesn't make him a hero, for life. There are plenty who suffered greatly in the Southeast Asia War Games, but very few have been on easy street ever since, and even fewer have done it through self-serving political position.
