Well guys, I have totally been bitten by this .35REM Marlin 336 I got from my Uncle. So much so, that I bought the Lee Anniversary Reloader Kit and started reloading too. I am absolutley in awe of by it's accuracy and now I want another one.
I got out last night with a batch of my first reloads. I didn't shoot much, I went to the range right after work and was racing before the sun went down.
I don't know why I shot only 4 shots of the CoreLokt stuff, I thought I had shot 5 and thought I missed the target, but when I looked at my brass I had 9 empty cases.
My reloads made a 1.754" group.
Tomorrow I plan on shooting the .223 reloads I made.
I am really going to try to breathe right and try for some tight groups.

Sounds like fun! The .35 Marlin is a great cartridge.

Kind of cool that you got the bug at this point in time, Dog. The cartridge is celebrating its 100th birthday this year. There's obviously been lots of satisfied customers since 1906.

I was hooked on the Marlin 336 in .35 Rem. at the age of ten or eleven, though I hadn't actually handled, or even seen one, yet. It were those awesome "Buck Buster" ads in Outdoor Life and Fur-Fish-Game magazines that got me to dreamin'. My Dad knew everything worth knowing about guns, and he confirmed to my satisfaction that the ads didn't lie, as the .35 Remington was, sure enough, a proven gitter. He gave me my first one, and it has lived up to its billing.

God bless great Dads and Uncles, eh?

Edit: Oops. The 100th birthday was not this year. Wonder how many checks I've screwed up since New Year's Eve. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />
