I went through the whole Kimber tradgedy and waited a while thinking they got their act together before buying another one. I bought a hunter a month ago and Im in the same nightmare. Not only will it not shoot well, but now they tell me since I painted the stock the warranty isn't any good. Here is my gun and groups. Ive tried about everything on the internet at getting it to shoot. Scopes, loads, screws, etc…. If this left the factory shooting 1" MOA, Im Colonel Whelen!

Hard to believe that's a production rifle group. I don't think I own a rifle that would shoot that poorly, and that includes a Mosin Nagant 91/30 with a sewer pipe for a bore.

Can't believe they won't make it right..

That's pretty good with no sights.

I actually like the rattle can job. Did you consider mounting a scope and shooting it prior to busting out the Krylon? Not judging but I usually don't get personal with a rifle till it's proven itself.

Its in 7mm-08. I may have it re-barrled by someone else. I did shoot it with Remington 140 and 120s.We figured it would shoot the Premium stuff a little better. I can send it back and by a stock for $250 to replace the camp one, but I want mine back. I also told the CS rep that if it doesn't come back shooting the first load I run through it with the new stock, they buy it all back!

Been there and done that, with a Kimber Montana, 270 WSM.
It was terrible accuracy wise before and after I sent it back to the factory.
I won't get fooled again.

There should be something that can be done about the BS. My Montana went back a few years ago and came back just as bad. How they stay in business Ill never know. Ive read horror story after horror story about the rifles since Ive had this recent issue. I know why they don't have email now!

Good luck. Mine, a 270 Montana, is a tack driver as the vast majority are.

It reminds me reading a lot of the posts of people that have a bad one, about Tommy Boy, taking a crap in a box, and putting a guarantee on it… lol

A Tikka will be its replacement if it doesn't work out.
