All: A few of you asked for more pics of this gun. Anyways, I think this will cut it. I took off the buttstock to clean the metal underneath. That is why it looks like it isnt all the way on. Jeff, I believe it is a Savage #18 Combination. Open the link below and scroll down. I am not sure if it is of the same vintage but I believe it is. Actually, I think the sight was made by Lyman but called the Savage Combination #18. Others who know more will be along shortly. http://www.savage99.com/tang_sights.htm

On the last 2 pics, does anyone know which kind of Marbles is that rear sight? Was this sight specifically used for a Savage?
