I can't wait to load for it. This thing is nice. Had the box and all the paperwork with an unopened tool kit. I plan on using the heck out of it.

The .45 Colt is a fun cartridge to load for. There is a lot of load data out there, but you have to know and understand what the pressure limit is for each particular revolver. In your case, it is 23k psi. Here is a link to a good article giving various pressure level load data: https://www.riflemagazine.com/magazine/PDF/HL%20246partial.pdf Don

N I C E ! ! ! !
Congrats! I recently started loading for the .45 Colt. When I was shopping for components, I found that 200 pcs of brass would run me about $60 shipped (about $0.30 per). Factor in about $0.07 for a primer and powder, another $0.15 for a cheap bullet (250gr Rainier plated), and I would be into it about $0.52 per loaded round.
So, instead of buying new brass, I decided to buy 200 cowboy action loads (lightly loaded 200 gr bullets) for $121 shipped (about $0.61 per round). I could immediately have a bunch of ammo, and I'd have brass to reload--for only about $4.50 more per batch of 50 rounds.
It kind of makes me wonder why I reload at all. I'd rather shoot than load.

Thanks all. I am already loading 45 Colt for a Mountain gun and an old 3 screw Ruger so I already have the components.

Top is a 25-7 bottom 25-9. Not much difference in the two. Both shoot great. Hasbeen

I bought both of them used. The finish seem tougher than regular bluing. These things are fun to shoot. I load 8 grains of Unique with a 200 grain coated Missouri RNFP. Supper accurate and a mouse fart load. You can really bump it up with a 255 LSWC, with Unique or 4227. Hasbeen

if it shoots half as good as my 25-5, and it should, you will be very happy with it. You can have a spare cylinder chambered in .45 ACP to give you a bit of versatility.

I thought about that but these are kind of hard to find. I've heard the number of about 2000 of the 25-7's made. They are also real desirable because the cylinder throats are the right diameter. The 5 inch barrel is also a big plus to me. Hasbeen

I don't know why a 5" N-frame is just right but there is no denying that it is. Perfect proportions, I suppose.
