Back channels are good. Not much could transpire between leaders without them. Except it's illegal when the foreign power is under sanctions as was the case here. It's only legal when government officials or soon to be government officials do it (like Kushner). This guy, Betsy Devos' brother, will be asking for immunity shortly.

I read that through my own search (thanks for the awesome link) and there's nothing to spin. A private citizen that doesn't represent, work for, or have any relationship ship with Trump had a meeting with Russia to try to persuade them to stop supporting Iran.
Sounds terrible. We have to keep Russia as our enemy because the military industrial complex relies on it. All the while forgetting that Iran and more importantly, North Korea pose a far greater threat.

Do you remember Betsy DeVos? She was the one who got grounded into sausage by the Senate over the course of several weeks because there was no conceivable reason for her to be nominated for the position.
Yeah, she was the one who needed the unprecedented tie-breaking vote of Mike Pence to break the tie so that this person with no reason whatsoever to be considered for the position could get by.
