Anyone own one - or shot one - and care to give a review? As the price of ar's drop, I'm thinking of adding one.

Savage is late to an already saturated party.

there are a 1000 other options and unless you are in love with savage there is no reason to buy an at from them. I would not buy one, I would buy a colt for $800 and be done.

I looked at one at my LGS yesterday. I was impressed with it. I think I want to try the MSR 10 in 308 when my shop gets them in. Fit, finish, features and weight were very good. Very solid feel to them.

It's survival for Savage.

Their product line has to include an AR with the bolt
Guns and 22s to be viable for an LGS to be a dealer.

Remington has them in its line too. An LGS cannot stock every mfr.

But Ruger, S&W, Remington, and Savage will cover a lot of ground.
