John,
you were one of those that tested that riflescope.
was wondering up to which caliber you will put one on?
(375 ruger, 9.3x62, 458 win mag ...)
thanks a lot.

I've used an FX-II 3x on a .416 Rigby without any problems.
According to Sierra's recoil program, the 400-grain load I use generates a little more recoil than a full-house .458 Winchester load pushing a 500-grain bullet to 2150 fps, given rifles of the same weight.

Phil,
If you have a bushel of 3X Leupolds in the closet, I'll be over that way soon......they are very popular here.

Not that it is a huge caliber, but I have a couple hundred rounds through one on a 35 Whelen shooting a 250 grain bullet at 2450 fps through an 8.5 pound gun. No issues what so ever.

I traded for one off the classifieds. My 3x does not have as much eye relief as my FX-II 1x4 on 4x. I really like my 3x but like I said, mine doesn't have the spec eye relief.
