Went through LOTS of tests on summer plots here. Lab lab worked, but not cheap. Has come down some since....
iron claypeas, soybeans, food plot mixes, cowpeas, etc.... best results were black autry cowpeas. Need to order another bag soon I guess. I did run with regular blackeye peas last summer and they seemed ok with that too, but not like the Black Autry version..... And in the mix there were okra seeds. Wow did they eat the okra, leaves and all till the plants were dead....
In the fall I have a few small plots, I start planting whole oats and winter peas in Sept. And try to plant staggered so that I'm planting in Nov also. Gives lots of food and differing ages....
