I picked up my Jotul wood burning fireplace insert earlier this month and it was installed yesterday. It'll be 6 months before I get to try it out.

Bummer. I installed this Jotul three years ago and have only used it twice early last summer after only seasoning it when installed.

You don't have to wait. Just crank the a/c down!

Looks good. I just put a fire in my woodstove when I got home from work. 45° and a cold drizzle out. Need to take the chill out.
Fall seven times, stand up eight.

Supposed to be heavier rain tomorrow as that storm moves up the coast, and inland. Maybe I'll get to use it before next fall.

That is a nice insert.
Just got back from the cabin along the Canadian border with MN. There is still a fair amount of snow in the woods and ice on the lakes inland from Lake Superior.
Had the wood stove going the whole weekend…felt good. There is a winter storm warning on now.
I put up another half cord of firewood over the weekend. Good temps for working in the woods in the upper 30s during the day. Grouse are drumming steady, waterfowl flying, and the steelhead are running, so it is spring in the northland.

You would have gotten use of it here today!! We got another 4-ish inches of wet and heavy snow. More forecast for Thursday-Friday!

If you don't mind my asking, what was the price? I have an old Earth Stove insert from the 70's that needs replacing. Thanks!

I put this Jotul F500 in my log cabin which I built 2 years ago. What a great wood stove.
