AVATARS:

Guys:

Last night, we went through the process of converting the entire site to https. This is a SSL (secure socket layer) that is pretty much the norm anymore. It increases security, yada yada, and is one of the major reasons I pulled the trigger on updating the software. It's a move that had to be made.

All images that are uploaded to the 24hourcampfire server will be served over the SSL/https secure connection. However third-party images that are still not being served over SSL, most problematic is photobucket right now, will prevent the page from completely "locking" (lock icon in top left corner on Firefox).

So, for now, please upload images/avatars on the 24hourcampfire server. That should let it run correctly.

No index button in the new software. Our host is working to have that added and other tuneups.

for now, the best fix I have come up with after posting, is to double-click the back button and hit refresh.

Yes, there are a couple of ways to - back up THEN go forward.

** As long as you are on page 1 of a forum, it's simple enuff to click the Forum Title (Name).

However IF you are on P 2 or farther, then the double click (or more) gets you back to P 1.
(that's the best I can describe it)

**** The index button takes you back to the top of THE page IN the forum where you're reading. THEN you simply proceed.

------ No.1 My upper case is for emphasis - not shouting.

------ No. 2 I expect (not assume) you know and understand what I've tried to explain. From some comments made earlier -- some either don't use INDEX or underestand its simplicity.

IF they are working on reinstalling INDEX, I'll wait & quit complaining.

Thnx

Jerry
