He was a "hired gun" for elements in law enforcement that wish to retain their .40 S&W chambered sidearms. If you come to an analysis with a predisposition in favor of one conclusion vs another, you will tend to come up with results supporting it. To be valid, it would need to be "double blind', even down to the development of the tests, let alone the carrying out of the experiment. The shooters should also not be informed which round they are firing.
I didn't remember him posting it, or I guess I didn't see. Sorry.
People repost stuff all the time. No big deal Viking.
Exactly. I missed this video the first time, and hadn't seen any of Mr. Harrell's videos until today. Apparently he lives in my neck of the woods because I recognize some of the country he's filming in.
Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. --Winston Churchill
i got on a youtube kick last week, not realizing until then there were so many video's on there. I had previously just watched hickok. And i ran across this guy, who to be honest, at first thought was some kind of dope. Hickok is being immitated left and right. but i do enjoy watching things get shot other than paper targets.
Practice, practice, practice. And then practice some more. This tripe is in the same gun magazine nonsense as, "280 vs 270, and the winner is!!" And they've succeeded in selling their issues thereby making themselves the winners........

A gun can last for decades in service. If your an LEO issuing a 40 S&W pistol and lots of ammo I can't see any reason to convert to 9 x19mm Luger.
What is most terminally effective is best decided by results seen in the morgue. Which is more accurate is decided by actual center of mass hits versus shots fired

I can.
If the manufacturer recommends that springs be replaced every five years and it costs $50 to do that, or $50 to get new guns...I'd just get new guns. Not to mention the logistical nightmare of refurbishing guns that are currently in use.
I watched the entire video to make sure I was giving it a fair chance. But it's still stupid.
Shooting bottles of Coke, then shrugging your shoulders and saying, "You be the judge.".......Really? Judge of what? That a bullet penetrated 4" of liquid? What on earth was that about?
And then there was his "rapid fire" test. Oh. My. Goodness. That was absolutely painful. I kept waiting for him to shoot fast. If you shoot slow enough to mitigate the increased recoil, then guess what......The increased recoil will be mitigated. Duh.
Calling cops and FBI agents "highly advanced" or whatever he said made me literally laugh out loud.
I have a hard time believing that agencies actually asked this guy to wring out the differences for them. Because if somebody walked into our office with a sample of one shooter who blasted some cinder blocks we would literally laugh him out of the building. I really want to believe that there's just no way that's true, but deep down I'm sure it probably is.
The vast majority of shooters can hit more, faster with a 9mm.........................

Definitely, I see it every day on the range.

Definitely, maintenance is less for the 9mm.
If the guy used HST's or Gold Dots the performance would be virtually identical. Plus the 9mm cost the department less to shoot. In my mind I'll take the 9mm everyday over the 40. I mean hell their both pistols and as such suck for stopping people. Both require good shot placement and a 9mm vs 40 to the vitals will achieve the same results. YMMV
Will Munny: It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.
The Schofield Kid: Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming.

Where is your LEO buying new pistols for $50??? I expect with the military buying new pistols LEOs will be soon be able to get surplus M9 Beretta pistols for nothing
