A number of close allies share highly sensitive intelligence information with each other - this is no exception. However, it is the nation that originally got the information (from a very sensitive source) to decide whether it can be released outside the closely-held group. This is to protect the source of the information. By releasing it outside the allied group, it could jeopardize the source's life and result in a loss of future information. If Trump did indeed release such information without the originating nation's approval, this could certainly result in less information sharing with the US. Mike Hayden (former Director of the CIA ) said on CNN that he's received several inquiries from his counterparts abroad asking if he "would be OK". This shows the level of distrust of the US since January. The US has traditionally stood for stability and consistency in the minds of our overseas allies and adversaries; this view is now changing.,
