Im gonna throw this on here, although I cant get it to load on my Computer.

( Its probably because I haven't updated in forever because every time they send one, its junk and "the worst ever-dont do it!").

I found this very entertaining with lots of insight. Watched it live.
And most importantly, the speaker didint make me want to claw my ears off by the sound of his voice. That helps.

I used to have this famous painting of Mosby hung in my room when younger. The dudes on the horses were always so much more intriguing, and smarter. Smash Attack and evade.

I hope it plays for some of you, and you enjoy it as much as I did. Its 58 minutes long.

Excellent presentation. If I am not mistaken, Col. Mosby is buried in San Francisco, where he was living at the time of his death. Also, a bit of interesting trivia: Gen. Grorge S. Patton's grandfather was a colonel of a Virginia infantry regiment. After the War of Southern Independence, the Patton family relocated to California. Col. Mosby was a friend of the Patton family and would visit often. Young George would spend many hours riding through the countryside with his mentor, Col. Mosby.

And that is one heck of an anecdote, Henry. Id like to have heard those stories.

For those who cant get it to upload, there is an interesting bit of info at the end that Col Mosby was inducted into the United States Army Ranger HOF, on the first ballot.

I read a book on him a while back, think it was Mosby's Rangers. One of those true stories like Sgt York or Audie Murphy where the sheer audacity, bravery, and circumstance are hardly believable.

The Grey Ghost has always been one of my favorites. I've read several books on him, and the man was really something else.

One thing I was unaware of; Mosby's widespread role as a corruption-busting, scrupulously honest Government agent in the decades after the war, as far afield as China and later in many locations around the US.
