I am ordering a set of Talley Lightweights for a Kimber 84M Montana. There are two sets listed:

- Cooper 21/57; Kimber 82/84M/84-22
- Kimber 84M/84 8/40 threads

Anyone know if the recent manufacture 84Ms have the 8/40 threads or not?

You could call Kimber and ask, but my early serial number 84M Montana has 8-40's, so I ASSume all new ones do too. You'll love the rings. Hope that helps.

If your rifle has a 3 position safety it should have the 8/40 threads on the mount screws.

I have one of each, my earlier 84M has a 2 position safety and uses the smaller threads, the later one has a 3 position safety and the larger threads......................DJ
