I have a really nice stock that had a 30-06 in it initially. I do not know if your 375 would fit or not but any competent gunsmith should be able to inlet it.
PM me if you are interested.

FYI Thanks to Cariboujack's contact Joe Andraise, I was advised that only the 300 H&H stock had the same magazine cutout as the 375 H&H but the stock barrel channel on the 300 H&H would have to be opened up a lot. Still seeking a take off 375 or 300 pre 64 stock. Thanks GW

Anyone have knowledge what pre 64 stocks if any might interchange with the 375 H&H stocks or whats entailed in making others work. Thanks GW
oldtimer, have you talkded to pre64win here? He probably has a better idea on what will and won't fit and what mods you can make to other stocks to fit. Here are a couple I've done:
1. Stock off a 243 target (heavy barrel). It will need to be drilled for the forend screw and an escutcheon installed. The mag box mortise (mag well) will need to be lengthened as well. This is a mod I did myself: See attachments. Sorry photobucket not allowed at this site anymore.
2. Stock off a standard can be used if you are careful to remove barrel channel material. You can open it up just enough to remove the dog not in the inletting and have about .030" freefloat around the barrel. This is a good option for a shooter, as you will need to glass bed the rifle anyway. Be warned, if you do not glass bed the 375, it's going to eventually crack the stock!!!!: Just a fair warning.. I'd also install crossbolts in the necessary places, like what was done to the 243 target stock in the pics/attached files. Sorry no pics of the standard stock I did for Gunner. Keep in mind, the mag well will also need to be opened up just a hair. Very easy mod to do.... No photobucket allowed and can only attach 2 files max to this post with Ricks new system...
3. 1 other option I have for you is my smith has a 375 H&H stock, but it has a crossbolt installed. A black diamond was placed over the crossbolt as well, as that was the cool thing to do back in the day... I'll post a pic of the stock in the next post I make, since I can not put another picture on this post....

This is the stock my smith has. It's in really good condition, except for the black diamond over the one crossbolt. I like this stock and believe the crossbolt is a great idea. Winchester also thought so and started putting them in their 458's and 375's, but a little too late in my opinion. My smith wants $400.00 for this one (my price). They are hard to find and expensive, but it's an option. Tack on another $30.00 for shipping. If you are interested, let me know...:
