Have had a few of the older 700's with the 20" barrels, both BDL and ADL. Saw one for sale the other day at a gunshop, 30-06 caliber adl. Had a denver Redfield 2x7, and they were asking 500.00. Do these have much collector value? Wish I would have kept the BDL carbine I had in 308!

He topped it with a Bushnell Scopechief VI 1.5-4.5 in low weavers. I liked it so much, I bought a 20" M600 308 bbl ($25) and am having it installed on an old ADL 243 for myself. Scope is going to be an old Vari-X II 1-4. They are nice, good quality Remingtons. I wanted to keep the 30-06, but a promise is a promise.

Yes, you did. I believe you posted the same pic when you advertised it here. I have another carbine in .222 ADL. They are handy. Bruce

I tried to warm up to the M7 when they came out but the shorter slim barrel never balanced right for me. I tried a couple Kimbers but my face must be too fat to get down on the stock- even with med Talleys. These aren't nearly as light but suit me much better. That was a great shot, by the way.

I picked up a carbine in 30-06 at a gun show last winter, paid $380 for it. Had a pachmayr recoil pad. I refinished the stock and topped it with a old Leupold 4x compact. It hates 165's but really shoots 180's, which is just fine. I can't wait to take it for a walk this fall.
