Who's the Nikon guy here?

In the past I've read posts by someone who is affiliated with Nikon in some kind of way, but can't remember the guy's handle.

I have an old prostaff that's been acting funny (double grouping, wandering zero), and I'd like to send it in--does Nikon have a checkup/repair program similar to Leupold's?
Searching the web gives conflicting info on their warranty services, and seems like I've seen different mailing addresses too.

I would appreciate any info I can get on where to send this thing in, and what to expect when I do.

The only Nikon rep here that I know of is Bart (bman940)... I believe that is his screen name. He should be around shortly to answer your questions and pm's... However, I haven't seen him post anything for a while. I think he checks in from time to time...

Bart, you are a great guy. I'm glad you are here to help those of us that are loyal Nikon users...

Doug would also help... even if he just sent him to Bart!

FYI, Doug isn't a Nikon Sport Optics dealer, unless something has changed recently. Since he is a Nikon Camera dealer, and Nikon Camera is anti hunting and won't allow a dealer of the cameras to handle sport optics, Doug is black-balled.

That sucks...

Don't have any Nikon glass.

With that bit of info, not in the market.

I've mounted a few really nice scopes for hunting buds, wearing the Vortex brand. Impressive glass, seem well made.

I don't have any, but if in the market, I'd give them a look. And, I can shop with Doug.

JG: Doug is a Nikon Sports optics seller for all binoculars and spotting scopes. You are correct in that he does
not sell riflescopes, as you mentioned, and he has explained it before on forums like this.

"For Birding" lol. Dumb as hell on Nikon's part.
