As far as all you guys blaming CA for similar situations in your state, lame, really lame. Let's blame Montana. Easy for you to say, you live in the "OK" part of CA;)

Someone on another said wisely pointed out that the Universities are pumping out the Liberals.
California is where a lot of those Liberals got rich and powerful, as in Hollywood/Entertainment media.
A lot of Californians became wealthy due to real estate idiocy, and moved away. Some f them brought the trappings of Liberalism with them, like:
Mountain bikes instead of four wheelers. Cafes and micro-breweries instead of butcher shops and bakeries. Lawyers instead of machinists.
Creature comfort stuff instead of hardware.
But they are not all bad; only ignorant or naive. Be gentle with them. Most have not lived out of sight of a mall before in their entire lives.

At the beginning of this year I moved back to N CA after a 23 year hiatus. N CA was a breath of fresh air compared to the liberal schithole that the Colorado Front range is. Folks like to say that it was Californians that ruined CO bit the POS liberals I met escaped from the unionized democrat rust belt states or the east coast. I rarely met another Californian. I enjoy the schit out of living in small town Jefferson State America.
