looking for an upgrade spotting scope to an older pentax straight thru scope, i have read some good things about this celestron scope, i see they can be bought for 275 used, wondering if anyone has first hand experience using one,

I have one. Not sure which model. Would have to go out and look. Basically I would buy another.

I have one and find it to be quite nice. I have both the zoom long eye relief eyepieces, and they are both very good.
Rich or poor, it pays to have money.

I have the Regal M2 65ED, it's a fabulous scope for the money. The course & fine adjustment and built in sun screen are great options, it does a real nice job in low light...and compares with scopes double it's price easily, and I also have 2 Swaro's & 1 Vortex spotters. I use it for digiscoping and field work, it's also "water proof".
It's only draw back might be weight/balance point, make sure to have a quality head if fluid movement is important.
