I don't get it... I was at Stocky's website looking at an Edge and it said they aren't available in molded in camo or marbled finishes.

So, is it no longer possible to order a Hunter's Edge stock from McMillan with a swirly pattern?

The stock you want is the McMillan Compact. Same mold as the edge stock, but in fiberglass construction - which is the swirlies. McMillan has done a good job of making their stock names and construction confusing as hell.

The photo attached is the stock on my 280AI. The photo is the sticker that McMillan put on it when they made it. It shows it as a Hunter Edge and it is a marble finish.

Id be interested to see a weight comparison on the exact same stock in standard fill with swirl finish vs edge fill with swirl finish vs edge fill with painted finish. The explanation Ive heard is the swirl finish increases the weight to a point that its not much of a savings over the standard fill for the extra bucks.

I also saw something recently on their Facebook page where they are only doing black/gray swirls for gel-coats on Edge/graphite stocks, due to the number of stocks in other gel-coat colors coming back that have the black graphite showing through. So the black/gray is now the only option, aside from paint, as the color combo hides the exposed graphite.

Now with even more aplomb
